Listening to: Be Ok by Ingrid Michaelson
I can't believe I've neglected my blog for so long! I guess I forgot it has feelings too... :(
Needless to say, it's been a CRAZY last couple of months. Between speech, homework, college decisions, it's been quite the ride. I've been stressed, but man oh man, I have a lot to update you all on!
GUYS. PROM. IS. IN. A. WEEEEEEEEEEEEK!!!!! Hey, I didn't go to prom last year, so I have all the more reason to be excited, okay? Don't judge. :) I figured out what I'm doing with my hair, I'm getting my nails done, and I'm SOOOO PUMPED! Everything with my group is figured out (even though it was rocky at times) and I know we're all ready to partay! It's going to be great, and I can't wait! By this time in a week, I'll be all dolled up and getting ready to go take pictures with my group of 40. :) Yay!
As you've seen all over Facebook, I've decided to attend Concordia College - Moorhead in the fall and I am beyond excited. St. Olaf didn't work out like I thought it would and I ruled out Luther in January, so I know that Concordia will be the right place for me. I participated in the high school honor band when I was up there two weekends ago and it solidified that I want to study Instrumental Music Education at Concordia! :) I seriously cannot wait for college, though. With graduation being less than 50 days away, I'm ready to get out of high school. So. Ready.
Speech season is over, and I'm in denial about it. Okay, I'm going to admit something...and band kids, I don't want you to freak out...but...
Speech > Band
I want to be a music major, we all know this. But speech has meant so much to me this season and it has been so special to me. I'm going to miss my team more than anything. I'll get to thinking about One Hen, Raptors drinking tea, and all of the other memories and I know it'll make me miss everyone all the more. Luckily for me, Concordia has a speech team, so speech isn't necessarily out of my life yet! The coaches have been lifesavers (literally) and my biggest role models and it'll be amazing to be able to keep in touch with them once I'm off at Concordia.
Anywho, I should probably get going! I'm heading out to dinner tonight with my best friend and his German exchange student, so that should be a lot of fun! :)
Much love,
Annie :) <3
